In-app purchases handled through iTunes have been been breaking for about the last half-day, according to a number of complaints. Error messages make reference to Apple's "verifyReceipt" system, and some speculation holds that the issue involves fake receipts entering the system. One developer suggests that the problem has been "losing lots of sales" for apps that need receipt verification, and is "threatening to more-or-less take down the entire IAP [in-app purchase] ecosystem."...
